Chef Ken MacDonald is originally from Scotland. His background and history is from all over the world starting out at the Turnberry Hotel in Scotland and then to The Ritz Hotel in London where he and his colleagues cooked for the Royal family, kings, queens, sheiks, celebrities and signatories from all over the world. His travels have taken him to South Africa, Australia and Asia, San Francisco, Chicago, California and Washington state working for the Peninsula Hotels, Pan Pacific Hotels, Relais & Chateau and other leading hotels of the world. He ended up in his wife, Katie’s, favorite State of Maine where they have settled, bought a house and are learning how to maintain over an acre of land. In his spare time Ken likes to cycle, garden, DJ, play soccer, dig for rare soul records and spend time with family and friends.
